Looking forward to seeing what she does bearing in mind I have almost all the above about to go on my car, along with a ported and flowed head and inlet manifold. I don't have water injection, but NOS is fairly similar in what it does.

Can you tell me more about the extra fuel cooler please? Type and where it's positioned?

the fuel cooler is at the front, just to control the fuel temps, they do get quite high some times.

Is it a Mocal one? How much? I fancy fitting one when my car is off-the-road at the end of this year for a bit having some stuff done.

Mocal ones just seem so much dosh for so little which is why I was wondering if there were other fuel coolers out there which are just as effective, but less dosh.

Any chance of a pic of how that was fitted, I've got one still and as and when the project commences I'm tempted to do this

Well, I was just going to bolt mine to the chassis using some kind of DIY mount, attaching it to the offside chassis rail, so it hangs down into airflow, then just divert the pipe that goes to the fuel filter to go to the oil cooler first, then into the fuel filter, then into the engine.

I guess you could also cool down the return fuel pipe, but that would be more of a diversion as oem route goes off the fuel rail and to the tank next to the coolant resevoir. I would sooner cool the incoming fuel to lessen the amount of extra fuel pipe needing to be fitted into the system as a whole.

We use all PWR cooling products, the cooler we use is originally designed as a auto box oil cooler. But they are a nice size and have barb'd connectors on them.

I think WW was actually talking about the "conversion"

But from me, thanks for the hint on price of the fuel cooler.

Nah I've got the full engine/gearbox etc from my cat-C

I've got a mogol oil cooler. The tricky thing is fitting the blasted thing somewhere, sounds like for that kinda money it's an interesting one

Out of (slightly OT) interest, is there a suitable sandwich plate for an additional (thermostatically controlled) oil cooler available for this engine, or even some kinda double-T adaptor ? I've not had much luck with this and I am still keen to try to find a good solution

Im not being funny, is it possible to use 300BHP in a front wheel drive car? Mines not even 200 and i cant floor it in 1st or 2nd gear as i just wheel spin! Would imagine the problem would be even worse with 300 horse's under the bonnet! Just look at the astra VXR!
I guess it would depend where the power came in.

Any thoughts anyone?

You'd have to have an LSD as well as an uprated dogbone. Minimise rear-end weight while keping all the weight up front to load the front wheels.

Still be interesting to control the power delivery, but once you're in 3rd no probs. The Fab vRS is not a choice for drag launches - but at rolling - fast it shines....

this really is an interesting project so its now abit of a race between who will be first to 300bhp mark Jason or Derv

Might come down to who can use the power. It seems like Derv has got a good setup though, but I fancy my LSD and dogbone may help in using the horsies.

Once my nozzles and head are fitted, I would hope to be at 280bhp without any other additives. What the propane does is anyone's guess, and the NOS? Well.... The car will not be tuned for the NOS, but I'll be seeing what it does after.
