Question CAN: not ready

Very Good day to all,

i connected my cable to the car and the result was as below:

Port status: OK
interface:found!
type: ross-tech HEX-COM+CAN
version:1.78
status:ready
k1K
k2K
CAN: not ready

should i be worried when CAN is not ready i don't know it is normal or that i can't use vag-com with my car?



can any one tell me how to check my diesel pump for fult codes?

Looking at your username (You don't state your car) I would suggest that it is perfectly normal if you have a 2002 TDI

Right Stu, that car has no CAN based diagnostics. Everything is on the K lines.

using the vagcom i found the following...

2 Faults Found:
18044 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from Airbag Controller
P1636 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17965 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation
P1557 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: N/A

can any one help ... my car does not have an airbag at all...

Clear the faults and see if they return. I have never seen an Octavia without airbags.

Please do a test by going to [Options][Test] and post the results. There are several modules missing. I'd like to see if both K-lines are operating.

The Octavia (1U) only uses the 1st k-line, from that side everything is fine. Based on the gateway coding the car does not have abs or airbags, which means besides the ECU searching for one I don't see anything wrong.
