| Briskodian | Re: coolant temp sensor My temp gauge does the same thing every now and again! Someone said it is easy to change, what is IT? I guess you mean the temp sender unit or something. Can you tell me where abouts it is, so that I can replace mine?

| Site Sponsor | Re: coolant temp sensor Hi It litrally takes mins to do. As long as it is cold. It is in the thermostat housing Just unclip the plug. Take out the retaining clip. Replace with new one making sure seal ok Replace clip. Reconnect electrics and away you go. Sounds easy? Sarah |

| Re: coolant temp sensor For sure. A piece of free advice, stump up the extra £10 and put a whole thermostat housing on it, they are also common to break and it comes with the sensor anyhow. |

| Re: coolant temp sensor Im not a Skoda employee, never have been ![]() But I suspect you need a coolant temp switch.. There have been a few supersessions on it though, you will need the latest four pin green sensor. You local VAG dealer will have one, about £25 max inc VAT id say. |
