Re: Did some logs with VAG COM need help interpretating them

Right it all came out as gibberish.

I logged GROUP 13 on VAG COM at Idle.

And got this

Cyl 1 Cyl 2 Cyl 3 Cyl 4
-2.8 to +2.8 mg/H -2.8 to +2.8 mg/H -2.8 to +2.8 mg/H -2.8 to +2.8 mg/H
mg/R mg/R mg/R mg/R
-1.06 -1.69 -0.4 2.99
-1.08 -1.65 -0.42 2.99
-1.08 -1.62 -0.47 2.99
-1.08 -1.58 -0.52 2.99
-1.08 -1.53 -0.59 2.99

I also logged GROUP 11

And at idle Cylinders 1-3 read 0

But cylinder 4 reads 47

Does this mean I have an injector fault? Or is my tuning box playing havoc with them?

I'm also trying to work out why my Boost gauge is reading 22 psi when booting the car in 3rd or 4th gear - not spiking but holding at this value.

I logged GROUP 11 which I think its the right one

Re: Did some logs with VAG COM need help interpretating them

Also the car seems to run rough whilst the laptop is plugged in and running vag com is this normal?

Bit fed up with the car at the moment trying to get to the botom of it the bloody tuning box is at the route of it I bet.

You've got it in one. All it is, is that the tuning box tells the PD injector that it needs more fuel than the injector can handle so up comes the fault code.

Remember a tuning box will never be as good as a proper remap as all it does is interrupt the information going between the injectors and the ECU and then increase the value so that more fuel is pumped into the cylinder.

Re: Did some logs with VAG COM need help interpretating them

So all its doing its overfuelling injector number 4?

**** that, I know the price of PD injectors.

Re: Did some logs with VAG COM need help interpretating them

the thing is that fault code could have been there for a while and be because you booted it in 2nd gear once a few weeks ago. clear it, drive notmally and see if it comes up again. There is nothing wrong with your pd injectors, it's just that the tuning box made the ecu ask for more fuel than it could reasonably handle.

I would not worry, but if you are, diconnect the tuning box for a week and see if it comes up again.

Re: Did some logs with VAG COM need help interpretating them

You were correct.

I just disconnected the box and checked the figures again.

This time at idle they read as follows:

Cyl 1 Cyl 2 Cyl 3 Cyl 4

mg/R mg/R mg/R mg/R
0 -0.19 0 0.14
0 -0.19 0.05 0.14
0 -0.21 0.07 0.16
-0.02 -0.26 0.07 0.19
-0.02 -0.26 0.07 0.19
0 -0.24 0.07 0.16
0 -0.26 0.07 0.16
0 -0.24 0.07 0.14
0 -0.24 0.07 0.16
-0.02 -0.24 0.07 0.16
-0.02 -0.24 0.09 0.16
0 -0.24 0.07 0.16
-0.05 -0.26 0.07 0.16
-0.02 -0.24 0.07 0.14
0 -0.21 0.07 0.14
-0.02 -0.19 0.07 0.09

No idea why the box was overfuelling injector 4 so much?

Re: Did some logs with VAG COM need help interpretating them

It's just one of those things. Maybe it's just that injector 4 is more sensitive?

Re: Did some logs with VAG COM need help interpretating them

Or maybe the tuning box is not set up right for the PD130.

I had another tuning box on for months, and never had a fault code even on the max setting. This had thrown up 2 in as many weeks

It could be a faulty tuning box.
