Doors Locked Beep

I have been trying - without success - to enable the beep/chirp when locking/unlocking the doors on my 51 plate Octy vRS.

I successfully enabled autolock/unlock and selective unlock with VAGCOM but the beep is proving more elusive. I have tried different settings for the Alarm Horn but to no avail. An output test does however yield a relay type click from behind the dash when the horn is being tested but there is no sound. (The car horn does work!!)

Is this function available on this model or does it require a factory fitted alarm to be fitted?

The alarm horn is different to the car horn and I have yet to see an octavia that has the factory alarm fitted, which means you won't get the beep. As it is in the same part as the door lock, you would have it by now if it was on the car.

Same here, tried it on my old one and my new one to no avail.

How do you do the selective lock/unlock? I've done the autolock one, which was easy, but I haven't tried the selective yet. Go on, gimme a clue

What do you mean by selective unlock, do you mean only one door unlocks when you press the fob?

A lock/unlock 'chirp' started happening after I had my tracker fitted - I don't know if this was:

a) Deliberate
or
b) Nothing to do with the car, but with the tracker.

All the same, I kinda like it - it's far more subtle that the 100 million decibel series of beeps the Toad alarm I had fitted in my old Megane used to make!
