Did your car react in anyway? My car seems to run fine. Did you feel any loss of power or any other strange thing? | |

| Seemed to run fine but had some other major problems at same time - don't *think* they were related but I would advise do it very soon nonetheless! (camshaft position sensor)

| Re: DTC17748 detected on 1.8T I get the same 17748 error on my RS. Is it enough to replace the Camshaft Positions Sensor? Anyone here has a guide on how to do it? Regards, Martin |

| Re: DTC17748 detected on 1.8T Has the cambelt been changed? That corrolation fault is not a sensor fault usually, its picking up that the cam and crank are out of sync. |

| Re: DTC17748 detected on 1.8T I suspect the cam sensor was changed on Tavia 4x4's car for a different reason. |

| Jelly Mould | Re: DTC17748 detected on 1.8T I agree with Lummox as it a synchronisation fault the belt will be a tooth out. Had this one before from experience, the technician swore blind that the new belt ent on in exactly the correct position, on inspection it was a tooth out. |

| Re: DTC17748 detected on 1.8T This was found to be the case in the other thread, its fairly obvious when you look at what the fault is actually saying. Its not saying there is a fault with the sensors, its saying there is a fault in what the sensors are seeing. |
