Hi again guys yes there is another issue I have...

Going back a while there I had to replace coil pack 1, I did this with a rubber pencil one that screwed in place , the car seemed fine however the engine light did not go off, so for roughly say 340 miles car drives fine no problems then on xmas eve with a slight push of power (was overtaking) the light starts to flash and you guest it the coil I just replaced has gone so went to camerons and got the normal metal/steel coil pack.

Fitted this and again all is well but the light is still on... now my main concern which is probably nothing is when I fitted the rubber £25 one there was a burning smell coming from the engine after a hard drive.

When I borrowed my mates VAG tool it came up something like 4563 could not find it in the book, so I am just concerned ''have I done damage to my car with that coil pack ?''

the light will stay on until the fault code is erased , it was a hard fault which would cause poor emissions

maybe the burning smell was from the heated up rubber
