| Help - cleared all keys from immobiliser If anyone could help me with this I would be very grateful. I was trying to code a new key to my '06 FABIA estate TDi using VRU STU's excellent instructions ( these worked fine on my other car SDi ). I have managed to login and clear all the keys but can't get the keys to re-scan. When I checked for error code I get the following :- Address 01 Powertrain 18097 - Powertrain Data bus implausible message P1689 - 35-00 - - 17978 Engine start blocked by immobiliser P1570 -35 - 10 - - - Intermitent Address 09 01598 - Drive Battery Voltage 07-00 signal to Low Address 17 Instruments 01176 - Key 65 - 10 Unauthorised - intermittent 01179 Incorrect Key Programming 35 - 00 - - [This is abridged all other units work] [apologies for any mistakes but re-keying rather than pasting] Is it something as simple as the battery voltage is too low ? Or is the antenna for the key not working correctly ? Thanks in advance

| Re: Help - cleared all keys from immobiliser I'd try charging the battery first and see if it works then. |

| Re: Help - cleared all keys from immobiliser Does the battery one clear off? You normally see that if the battery has been disconnected.

| Jelly Mould | Re: Help - cleared all keys from immobiliser With ignition on, first of all go into 17and clear any fault codes, then log in (11) with your code and remember to prefix it with 0, adaptation (10) and channel 21, enter in 2 keys, test, save, OK and get back to the modules listing screen and put the other key in the ignition and turn it on - then hopefully both keys will be programmed. |

| Re: Help - cleared all keys from immobiliser OK, I have recharged the battery, it reads 12.4 V on the central load controller. Tried clearing the fault codes on all the units but the best I can do is either 1 or 2 keys working but still with the immobiliser light on i.e. engine starts and runs but imobiliser light still flashes. I seem to be stuck with the fault code on the instument cluster. When you are trying to pair your keys the imobiliser symbol just flashes. I am aiming for 3 keys is this not feasible It drives at the moment so perhaps Iwill have to take it to the dealears.

| Re: Help - cleared all keys from immobiliser IIRC you can program up to 5 sets of keys, Something has got to be wrong with the way your coding them. |

| OK, After reading through the advice more carefully. I found out my finger trouble . I was taking the first key out and putting it back in. At which point the instrument cluster records that as 1st and 2nd keys, the next key gets accepted but of course you now throw an error code. THANKS GUYS.

| Re: Help - cleared all keys from immobiliser Just for future reference, usually the maximum number of keys (immobilizer) either 4 or 8 - 8 is most common for every more or less current model. In terms of remotes (central locking) the magic number is 4 while auxiliary heating remotes it's usually 3 or 4 depending on the individual system.
