Re: I need help(VAGCOM) Bury, NW

You will need the SKC for the immobiliser. Go into 17, log in 11 with the SKC prefixed by 0, adaptation 10 and channel 21, take it down from 2 keys to 1 key. Any keys not present for coding will not start the car. If you have factory remote locking then go into the convenience system 46, adaptation 10 channel 00 and erase the remotes, channel 01 and enter 1 remote and press a button on it.

This still means that the mechanical part of the key will still operate the locks and ignition so it could still be emptied but not driven away unless you de-lock it.

well, up until recently i thought not but to be honest things have now got so bad i wouldnt put anything past her!

Shes already been in the car with the spare key so although i dont think she'd take the car she has threatened it but im more concerned about her taking things from inside the car. It was the only place i could keep things under lock and key but now i cant even keep personal items in the car

Re: I need help (VAGCOM) Bury, NW

I'm sorry to hear about your situation,

I work in York which, if multimap is correct, is about 70 miles from Bury. If you can't find anybody closer than that then I'm happy to help.

Also, I'm not sure which model you have, but certainly on my Mk1 Octavia, opening the car via the key in the boot lock will trigger the alarm. So if you were to erase the remote control and then fit one of these kits, you would at least hear her trying to get in!

I'd also be prepared to help Mike, but I'm afraid I've not done anything like this with it before. So if you look into the process and want the equipment to do it, let me know

Can meet you one night after work if you want...

Cheers,
Steve

Mike - what's the chances of you getting to the Malt House meet tonight?

A couple of members have said they will have Vag Com with them.

If you are not married/co-habiting 'by law' I would suggest that a word with the local police office may be worth it, as that is theft. If married then I'd probably avoid this one as it's probably qualified as a domestic in that case which means they wont do anything
