MAF sensors on OctyVRS

I have had 3 MAF sensors die so far with in 1.5years of my octy VRS' life, and have been changed on warrenty. I had a pipercross viper induction kit fitted which has not been oiled at all, because i heard about oiling causing MAF problems, so didnt oil it. The last sensor i had changed, i was told by skoda technical they wouldn't replace it again cos they thought i had an induction kit on (and thought correct) and thats the main reason for them failing(??? under spec'd sensor???). They seem to think that induction kits allow in too much moisture which is the cause of them failing. So i have had to revert back to standard air box for now!
Has anyone heard anything simular or got any good way of upgrading the MAF sensor to something that works!
