| My Octy2 is set to variable service. Is there any way I can predict the next time my service light will pop on? I'd like to check if the car needs service before undertaking a heap of driving. Can this be done in VAG-COM? |

| Key in ignition, dont start engine. Seatbelt on, press and hold odometer reset button for a few seconds and voilą! |

| Got it, ignition needs to be on point 1 by the looks of it. "1000 miles or 175 days". Hmm guess that's time for a service next month then. |

| Since you posted in the "Diagnostic & VAG-COM" forum I guessed you'd understand what was meant - my apologies. The Instrument Cluster is a control module which is diagnostic capable and when accessing it with a diagnostic tool (like VAG-COM/VCDS) you will have several functions available. One of them are the Measuring Value Blocks (MVB), live data which can be monitored. One of the Blocks, specifically MVB 005 contains the data you were looking for.
