Default Superb PD130 Status Alert

Hello
Assuming this is the best place to post the following, can anyone advise or better still help me with a VAGCOM diagnostic before thinking about taking it to a garage.

About 5 minutes into my journey home tonight, I get a car status warning flash up (on the maxidot display) with the orange engine symbol. Status reads " Emissions Workshop!" Now as far as I can tell everything else was driving fine, same amount of power, fuel consumption where I'd expect it to be, no excess smoke under acceleration and the car got up to normal running temperature. So what's up. The handbook is useless with no reference about what these status reports mean other than have the car returned to your dealer.

I've been running the same tank of diesel for the past two weeks and haven't noticed any other problems. Presumably it is still safe to drive, and as the car is a 53 plate 1.9 TDI it does not have any troublesome DPF as far as I know.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

i had the warning light because of two faulty glowplugs once.....so no difference in performance was noted....

once when when i was on holidays for a month the battery went flat....i tried to start it....to no avail!!
later when i checked vag com...it showed lots of faults..because of low voltage.........then i just cleared them wih the software....

so what i'm saying is the warning light could be many things....serious or minor
although it sounds like it's minor

there might be someone in your area with vag com..you can check on this site.

I should add that I did switch off the engine and restart with no problems but the alert remained, admittedly engine was warm by this stage. I will see what it does tomorrow when starting from cold.

For those around Portsmouth, Fareham and Gosport you'll probably know me for the Yellow Peril, so I'd appreciate the assistance of a VAGCOM expert
