i'd say tou need to double check that it was plugged back in, and it it was, then i'd look at the wires

Those plugs are a little fiddly. If the codes don't clear then check it is properly plugged in and it should clear ok.

He read this and sorted himself cheers guys - it was the wiring.

Now his key won't lock his car remotely, although it will start it. Any ideas?
