I rang them up and thought it was a bit cowboy - credit cards over the phone and stuff. Went for drivethedeal.com where it was £300 more expensive but it laid my fears to rest!

I maybe wrong about them, but that was my opinion...

Thats a saving of £1,365.....

How the hell do they get these for so cheap. Someone must be making money somewhere otherwise it'd be pointless.

They are pre-reg cars. Nothing wrong with that as that's the way i bought mine. Basically they buy it from Skoda (with discount) and then sell it on immediately after 24 hours of registration, therefore it has second hand value, in this case £10995!

Can't see where they make money then??????

But Hey! Bargain central........I did consider one of these, but with my insurance, If my vRS gets written off within the 1st 12months of ownership I get a brand new sparkly one!!!!

Was your Drivethedeal Fabia first registered to you, Sonic? 'Cos if so, that does seem to be the main difference between DtD and Autofinders.

Yes, it was registered straight to me... They deal with a skoda dealer up near Manchester (or North somewhere) and they buy upto 20 at a time - hence the discount. It was delivered free of charge to my home address on the back of a transporter. Very impressed with the service too...

Cars not too shabby either!

lloyds tsb autolease do the vrs for 11400 not pre reg with 12 months tax and full dealer warrenty etc, i think this kind of price is the norm, with some effort my local dealer knocked another hundred quid off, just sent me a letter as well reminding me that i have free mot's for the life of the car and 10% off all work done including free valets when serviced, not bad.

Thanks for clarifying, Sonic. DtD are tempting me a lot although if Dave's goes OK I will at least speak to Autofinders to see whether they can do non-pre-reg, as they've just sold my Dad a pre-reg car at a very good price (and he was very happy with the transaction).

I paid 11,690 from my local dealer with black metallic paint but i did use the drive the deal quote to knock them down.
For £160 i personally would rather get it from the local dealer in case i get any gip

Talking

Hi guys,

Went and picked my vRS up today from the Autofinders office in Bakewell Everything went fine, the car was parked outside waiting for me, and was literally just a matter of being shown round the car/documents, handing the cheque over and getting the keys! Easy as that. Seems funny waiting so long then all it takes is about 10-15mins to collect it.....

Got an added bonus that I found on the way home aswell (but ssshhh keep it quiet ) It has cruise control which I didnt order!

Overall a great experience, admittedly the long wait was due to me ordering the car with options, but for the whole time Paul from Autofinders kept us informed and put up with constant phone calls.

-RECOMMENDED-

WTG Dave! I will certainly give Paul a ring as it's probably between Autofinders and Drivethedeal for mine ... given your wait I best order it now for a 55 plate!
