Lightbulb 05 Plate Mileages

I've been slagged off by 'Er Indoors for the amount of miles I've put on my 05 plate vRS - it's up to 3100. I argued that most people with one would get the miles piled on ASAP to get them loosened up and more fun.

The query is, where's everyone at with their month-old cars?

~1600 on mine, picked it up on 1/3/05. My drive to work is only 10 miles each way though, and I don't tend to use it much during the week.

Mine's on about 1100 since the 1st. I foolishly guestimated my annual mileage to the insurance company at 12000 miles so haven't driven it as much as I want.

Had the car for two weeks and she's got about 650 on the clock so far.
250 of those were from when I picked her up from the dealer in Lancashire and drove her home to Bucks.

I do about 50 miles a day so she should have about 1200 on the clock once the month is up.

Blimey! You'll be needing the 10k service in a month and a half if you keep that up! In comparison, I've only managed a measly 2k miles since 1st March in my aging Fabia - 80k service here we come

Picked mine up on Tuesday and have done 400 so far. 200 a day. Crikey, that works out at 73000 a year at that rate .

You can ring the insurance company and up the mileage on your policy, I just did it, went from 6000miles to 15000... 6000miles wtf was I thinking when I took out my policy

Um, I lied. Got in my car last night & realised it has actually done just over 1900. How did that happen!?
