1.416v Flashing battery light

Our 1.4 16v Elegance went in for its first years service last month and while at Bickertons the looked at a few other problems.

Mainly that the battery light was flashing intermitantly and the alarm had decided to activate as soon as it was armed. Bickertons said the fault was due to a loose connection and for a month all was OK.

Coming to work this morning though and the battery light is yet again flashing. Anyone else had this ?

Cheers

Re: 1.416v Flashing battery light

Battery light is flashing on every journey now and it's doing my head in !! Only happens when car is cold.

Dealer say they can find nothing wrong on the diagnostic but it's still happening !

Am I been fobbed off ? I would be pretty miffed if it was something expensive that failed just out of warrenty when I had been mentioning it to them all this time.

Have a look at the battery terminal connections and in the fuse box on top of the battery for poor connections. Also check the connections on the alternator.
