That wouldn't be a C mate as it's totally repariable so if anything it would be a CAT D.

I'd get somebody to tell you what is broken and them them the quote is NOT an insurance job. Get the bits needed to make it drivable fixed at a garage and ask the garage to try and source a second hand driveshaft etc.

The body work I'd start hunting around from the breakers and if you can't get the VRS front bumper then just get a stock one for now.

12v is at skospares and the crash bar etc look like you might need to fix it up.

Also I'd have an ask around see if anyone knows a good body shop in the area that doesn't xot a tonne.

It looks scraped badly but if unlike mine the shell isnt bent it may well be repairable at reasonable cost. Mine was actually bent so it was cat C. Driveshaft bounce = dont drive with it at any kind of speed other than to move it, it might cause more damage.

Eeeeek
I've seen some of the piccies on FB of your Fabia. Looks like a good car. Hope it doesnt get written off. But if it does, strip the tool box and everything.
02 or 52 plate?
My uncles Vectra has been written off now. But that car felt dodgy anyway.

The waiting game is the worst. When my Felicia got taken away last year I was worried that it would be written off but they fitted a new panel and I was on my way again.

Hope it all works out for you dude!!!!

Seriously have you priced up how much it would cost to do yourself fusing second hand parts?

Second hand driveshaft and other bits not too bad, second hand wing and bonnet, not too bad, respray £300 tops, labour £150-200, you have the old bumper.

T-Cut etc the sides so it blends in and live with it. You never know the body shop might fix it in the cost of the respray anyway.

That is going to be less than the excess.

Wheels, live with them for now and refurb them when you get a chance.

I DONT BELEIVE IT!! they just sent me a text telling me its been taken to the scrap! they've said a envelope is on its way for the spare keys. and my sub and stereo's in there damn it!!

Erm they can't do that.

Who are your insurers.

Until you sign the car over to them and accept their offer they are not legally entitled to dispose of it.

Gutted for you though. Nothing worse than being told your car is being written off.

Thats odd

When my astra got written off it got taken to a place for the insurers to examine, then got taken to a pound.
After that I got a call saying bring the keys etc....... and take your stuff from the vehicle.
I'd start with a call to your insurer saying you have belongings in the car you need to take out.

If you're getting charged to have your car in storage etc.... I'd suggest changing insurer.

Maybe you should take the 3.5k try and get as much out of the car as possible and be done with it. Sad though.
