10k oil change

Just coming up on the next 10k oil change (first one since I've owned the car), I know that PD100 motors need 505.01 oil, but if I go to a Skoda garage what can I expect to pay?

I don't fancy getting ripped off so I use some advice please, I've seen oil from £50 for 5 litres what is a reasonable price for this jobbie?

Sounds a lot (is a lot) but you said it yourself -£50 for oil + £60 an hour labour + an oil filter. Garage bills are not cheep but got to be done if you want the service history in order.

Or is that meant to be £30 an hour labour, cant remember how much they charge, the new year does my head in.

Re: 10k oil change

I paid £75 for my first service which included the annual inspection on top of the oil change (not sure what the annual inspection involved though).

Re: 10k oil change

Hi

Just had a first 10K service at Preston Garage in Writtle Essex for £87 including doing a tyre rotation as well. Oil used was Quantum PD. Was quoted £160 by another garage for same job without tyre rotation, so happy with that. When the warranty expires, I will do my own.

Re: 10k oil change

You can take your own oil along to reduce the service cost.

Cheers

Guy.
