| Re: 17" alloys for a fabia What's the PCD of them? Are they Audi wheels by any chance? In which case they're likely to be 5x112 rather than the 5x100 the Fabia uses...? Rob. |

| Briskodian | Re: 17" alloys for a fabia 7.50 - This is the width of the rim 17 - Is the size of the wheel ET32 - The offset ![]() 225 width tyres wont fit on the fabia and will rub, 205 or 215 are needed. Hope thats correct Shaun Last edited by Shaun L; 12-07-2007 at 19:08. |

| Re: 17" alloys for a fabia Yep - those alloys will be fine on the Fab, as long as you fit 205/40/17 or 215/40/17 tyres. Steve

| Re: 17" alloys for a fabia I keep toying with the idea of putting 225/35x17s (Michelin Sports £92 each fitted) on 7.5s i.e. virtually the same rolling circumference. These should fit fine but would they need offsetting front/read for clearance on full lock? I think I have read of only one person running them...

| Re: 17" alloys for a fabia Don't know why you'd bother to be perfectly honest? 215s are perfectly fine, and also run a slightly kinder profile. A 35 will be mighty firm! Steve

If you wanna go really extreme there're tyres of size 215/35 17.. Falken fk452 make that size and they're great tyres.. 225/45 might not fit in the rear though and if it fits it'll rub a lot and the car will have to sit on a higher suspension.. otherwise will rub a lot...

| Re: 17" alloys for a fabia Fabia156 when you were running the 225/35x17 was it on standard shockers/springs or uprated shockers/lowers or a combination of the two? I was hoping to use lowered springs with standard shockers i.e. Standard shockers are approx. 20% softer so putting the 225s on should firm the suspension up without the expense of uprating the shockers - hopefully not compromising the ride. I was bothering because I will need as much traction as I can get if I get my vRS remapped to 300lb/ft torque!

My car has h&R springs with standard shocks..If you reallly need that extra bit for traction then go for these tires.. but like i said you will have to give up on some comfort especially if you use low springs.. but traction is
