jimbo, great post about spitty! i've seen the window lickers clowning around down there
When you buy a tyre you will expect to get 40-50k out of Michellin and many other brands if in 3 months you wear a set out are you not concerned that (unless you travel that distance) the normal wear/life is reduced from 4 years to 3 months? Wouldnt that sound alarm bells that tracking is out/maybe poorly repaired accident damage/driving with tyres inflated incorrectly or to wear them out that quickly especially as the car has traction control so you should never wheel spin indicates you have either turned off the traction control (why?/its obvious why) or you wear the edge off the tyres going way too fast round round-a-bouts/corners.

Which one is it?

You tell any mechanic the milage the tyres have lasted and they will know (like most reasonable people) how the car has been driven to achieve that.

FYI my tyres have now lasted 40k and still have 4.5mm min - most is motorway and lots of emergency stops on the motorways (like most will know if driving the M4 & M25 etc). I do not hang about either.

Imagine if you had a comp car the tyre man only comes round to the work car park every 4 months - so youd be illegal lol.

Re: 19 and after a VRS

Couldn't it just be bad tracking causing continuous abnormal wear, regardless of how the car is driven. If it's really out, even constant smooth 60mph will wear out tyres rather quickly.
