| 2 parts needed Hi all I'm looking for a leather gaitor for my Fabia, and also one individual louvre for my centre vents... I've tried my local dealer but they tell me the parts are not available individually and I have to buy a whole new vent unit and a gear **** with gaitor... Has any one got any ideas how I can best source these? Or, indeed, has anyone got either of these parts lying around they'd be prepared to part with for a suitable price...?? Cheers Craig |

| Re: 2 parts needed Best bet would be a scrapper or one of the skoda spares sites I suppose

| Re: 2 parts needed As far as I know you cant order the gaiter seperately Any how are you going to change a single vent louvre? Take the slat out and pop the new one in? They tend to break off when trying to refit them. Last edited by Lummox; 19-05-2006 at 21:56. |

| Re: 2 parts needed You're looking at about £40 plus VAT for an Elegance leather gaitor including the kn0b or £57 plus VAT for an RS one. Around £36 plus VAT for the centre vents complete.

| Re: 2 parts needed The link has too many 'http' in it, try this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SKODA-OCTAVIA-...QQcmdZViewItem The issue you may have with that is seperating the kn0b from the original.

| Re: 2 parts needed I've no problems with replacing one single louvre - took one out to take to the dealer, so I know I can pop them in and out with no damage... The leather kn0b I have has no gaitor attached currently - I broke the last one trying to remove it from the old gear kn0b!! Cheers for the ebay link Stu - will look at that. |

| Re: 2 parts needed I would think as WW says that the Scrappy is your best bet then. As far as I can see from the parts catalogue it is a single item for the vents so Skoda will not be able to sell you them individually. Same again for the gaitor - get a complete one to save any hassle unless it's for a vRS then you might struggle to find one.

| Re: 2 parts needed Anyone know how to remove the louvre assembly? I tried to cure the squeeky dashboard problem manually whilst driving and missed ... it's a bit mashed now. |
