| airbag warning light Some things just really p you off! Part my fault but if anyone has any input regards this problem please i`d love to hear it. here goes --- it came to light today that the ciggie lighter in the centre console had no power so i grabbed da owners manual checked through and found da fuse numbers and proceeded to replace the fuse. Problem appears to be as i had the engine running at the time i obviously pulled the wrong fuse and the motor stopped so all i did was turn off the ignition and restart. I read the manual wrong thinking it was fuse number 15 at fault and managed to pull fuse number 14 largely in part to the ridicuolusly small numbers on the fusebox which turns out to be the diesel engine control unit but what it actually should have been read as was fuse number 42 rated at 15 amp ( doh ). The thing is why should cutting the power to the diesel control unit leave me with my airbag warning light permanently lit AAAAAHHHH so annoying. A thread similar to this has probably been posted several times over and if it has i apologise for that, but i feel a trip to the local dealer is the answer. So let this be a warning to all make sure you pull the right fuse and make sure you don`t have the engine running when you do. So if there is any members within herefordshire that have vag-com perhaps you can sort it for me, now that would be cool? |

| Re: airbag warning light You need to get the airbag fault cleared, as stu mentioned it needs either someone with vag-com or your local dealer as its not something you can do without the diagnostic tools.
