| creaking seat Hi I'm just coming up for 4000 miles in my fabia 1.9 tdi estate. The driver's seat has developed a persistent creak. Do any of you know if this is a common problem, or one easy to fix? Just wondering if it's something a squirt of WD40 will fix, rather than the hassle of taking it to the dealer for repair. Cheers James |

| Re: creaking seat Was certainly a known problem on the octy, from what my local dealer said, but I don't know if it was common or just known.

![]() An un-qualified oppinion here... but I believe that as we sit in the seat the hieght lowers over time and it needs a little pump now and then to keep pressure in the gas cylinders.... my guess anyhow ![]() Q

| Re: creaking seat Thanks all for the input. Moving the seat back or forward doesn't work, nor does adjusting the height. Looks like a visit to Mr Dealer... |
