| Hi, 2006 Estate 1.4l 16v. I noticed the other day that when the hazard lights are on that all the dash lights dim slightly, but noticeably, with the pulse of the hazards. Does anyone else have this? Thanks, NR |

| Briskodian | I have tried to replicate this on my Furby vRS and it doesn't happen with engine switched on or off. I know what you mean though as it happens on my parents VW Jetta. That car is petrol with a 45ah calcium battery. Could be down to battery ah?? I don't think it is anything to worry about, though. |

| Briskodian | Re: Dimming Dash Lights This is usually down to either the alternator, the battery or a dodgy earth connection. Given that the car is new I'd say it's one of the first two. Might be worth double checking with a dealer, but I think you'll find it's normal. Zebra - I think you'll find the battery is much larger in the VRS and therefore this is less likely to happen. |

| Re: Dimming Dash Lights Thanks for the responses. I have the car in at the dealers right now looking at few suspension niggles and a strange steering noise. I will see if they can tell me anything about the alternator/battery. Yes, I'm sure the VRS has a much bigger battery... |
