Talking Exhaust manifold port matching - not porting - anyone?

They say a pic is worth a thousand words: My SRP (Stealth Race Pipe) 'How to' - Page 3 - TDIClub Forums

an interesting thread, showing not just how to make a "racing" turbo downpipe that retains the anti-shudder valve with basic power tools, also pics of how matching the exhaust manifold to the gasket can remove "ledges" in the exhaust stream that soot can accumulate in.
Done with a dremel tool. Comments mention may have a beneficial effect on smoke output.

Any comments on the above anyone?

Oh and Merry Xmas all,

Cheers
Bas

I'm very tempted to go this route however with my EGTs the way they are I need to get them lowered first I reckon, removing EGR might increase them again
