Hey there guys.

I've been around all these price comparison sites etc. and still haven't really had a definitive answer... with quotes for the vehicle's price vary by up to £1000!!!

So I was wondering if you, the real experts, could shed some light on my predicament?

There's a Black 54-Reg Fabia VRs, 170bhp remap, on black OZ wheels, on 54k miles in a local independent. I've driven it and thought it was... in a word: ACE! Even the mrs likes that it's five doors and has quite a decent boot.

It's pretty basic, it has traction control... but no multi cd, leather etc. There's a rip on the back seat and one scrape a piece on the front and rear bumpers... the rear one being quite noticeable.

They're asking £7995. They sed lowest they'd do it for was £7750 with a year's MOT, 12 mnths Warranty, Year's Tax and a service. It has full skoda dealer service history and they'll change the cambelt (that I understand is due at 60k??) is it worth the money?

I've just had a few quotes for the 60K serivce. Its classed as a 20K (major) + cambelt change. Service prices range from £200 to £270. Cambelt kit change range from £265 to £290 so if your getting the cmabelt changed then if may be worth it. Guessing 54reg go for around the high 6K's upwards on the trader.
