Has anyone ever had to replace a drivers side foglamp grill?

I need to replace a missing one and before I run to the stealers I was wondering if anyone has paid Cahs Monies for one before and roughly how much?

Do the grills have to be sprayed?

IIRC they're pretty cheap from the dealer - less then a tenner - if the grilles you're talking about (you don't specify the model) are black the they come that way and are unpainted, if they're body-coloured then they'll come in primer and need to be sprayed. The vRS has a black grille behind an extra body-coloured clip-on bit, both of which have to be bought separately.

You could just phone the dealer!

However, looking at my past bills (and having to do a bit of guesswork as the descriptions aren't too good)....

For the black grille try:

6Y0853684AB41 O/S F/L GRILLE £5.53

and the colour coded cowl that actually goes around the light might be either:

6Y0853655A or 6Y0853656A (presumably depending on the side) £3.08

I'd only use those numbers as a check though - you're better off telling the parts person what you want and let them look it up, that way if the wrong bit turns up it's their mistake and you don't have to pay.
