Default How to remove a Fabia door mirror?

Hi all.

Car is a 51-reg 1.4 16v Comfort hatchback. We've had it 3 weeks now and are very pleased with it.

However, from purchase the passenger door mirror has a small but distinct 'droop' and the mirror feels slightly loose on it's mounting. You can still move the glass OK with the electric adjuster, the heating works and you can still (manually) fold it flat.

Has anyone replaced a mirror and if so, how do you get it off? I undid the two torx-headed screws in the bottom (non-body colour) part but this didn't appear to do anything! It may be that you need to lever out the glass first, but I was scared of doing so...or do you attack it from inside?

Looking forward to your replies.

Thanks
Richard

If you want to remove the complete mirror than it unbolts from inside the car behind the triangular shaped trim at the top of the door card. Door card will need to be removed to get the bottom bolt iirc.

From memory of stripping furby mk1 down, this was indeed the case - the triangle bit is a sinch to get off, the door card just needs a little more time and effort to remove.
