| Jacking and Axle Stands Could someone give me some advice (and preferably pics) of the best place to site a trolley jack and put axle stands on my VRS. I've got 2 sets of axle stands and am planning to take off all 4 wheels to give them a really good clean and seal. Is there a central point at either end that I can use to lift both front/rear wheels at the same time. I had a look in the Haynes manual but the pic was rubbish and it didn't really help much.

| Briskodian | Re: Jacking and Axle Stands The correct position to support the Fabia/Polo/Ibiza is on the side sills - the two arrowed indents on each of the side sills indentifies the correct position. If you look under these four points you will see that the inner sill is reinforced at these four points. There is not a single central position near the front or rear to place a trolley jack (like you find with Saabs). I have bought and fitted four jacking point protectors - they are fitted to Audi TTs. You just remove four round circular plastic bungs and replace them with the two part jacking point supports - and leave them in for ever. Now when you go to jack the car up using a diy trolley jack, its just a case of locating each of these jacking points. I also made up 2 hard wood slotted and covered with hard rubber blocks to fix to the top of the axle stands to protect the chassis - the slots locate the blocks on the car. |

| Re: Jacking and Axle Stands There are some pics here, one of which shows the console on the front which is what I normally use - Fabia-vrs.com - Eibach -25mm Lowering Suspension Be wary not to jack on the rear beam - you may bend it.
