Its not to my taste but I wouldn't say its awful, what has been done looks very good quality.

You must remember that our continental neighbours are in to their styling much more so than us Brits. That car in question belongs to a Belgian and my experience from our trip to Czech last year only confirms this, they spend an absolute fortune tarting up the exterior and interior of a 1.2 Fabia!!!!
