| Looney Part Price If, like me, your clutch pedal rubber is wearing out - or rather the rubber bits that poke through the silver plate (vRS) - prepare yourself for a shock. A new pad is - are you sitting down? - £50.18 + VAT. How do Skoda UK possibly justify that?

| Briskodian | I suppose it helps to prevent people hiding the tell-tale signs of a clocked car. |

| If you do a search, you will find that I covered this one a while ago when they quoted a higher price for an Octy vRS clutch pedal rubber. After several calls to Skoda UK they reduced the price to about £8. |

| 8 quid is about the most I'd want to pay - that's already expensive, but I suppose postage etc must be (re-)covered ![]()

| Ouch! Thats not good. I've just paid £10.52 for a new brake guide pin and thought I was being ripped off.

| I just said the quality standard was different for Skoda. I didn't say it was better.

| Briskodian | The pedal cover for the Octavia is alos used on a VW model and I think an Audi, therefore it is relatively mass produced. The pedal cover for the Fabia fits only that model, no other vehicle in the VW group. Therefore it is relativley 'rare' and thus its production costs are much higher Quote:
