Question New CV Boot fitted... is there a problem

I recently had a new outer CV boot fitted on the near side. I have noticed a couple of grease splaters on the wheel, it's not coated it is only the odd splater. Is this normal after a new boot is fitted or is there a problem with it..... Any feed back on this would be greatly appreciated. The car has been lowered! Ta

Could it be grease from the old CV boot? I would remove the nearside wheel, thoroughly clean up the area around the repair, and then keep watch for any more grease appearing. Hopefully there will be none.

Clip may have come off or been over tightened.

I cleaned the wheel and the caliper down completely. When i took the wheel off to check it, there was a couple of splaters on the caliper and there was a little grease at the edge of the cv boot. I was wondering if it was to much grease packed in and forcing it's way out under pressure.

It isn't coming out the same way as the last boot did. The clip punctured the boot when it was on full lock.

edit... I will check the boot to make sure the clip hasn't punctured the boot.... if it is not this and the boot is intact, is it something to be concerned about or should it settle in time?
