| Not always as it seems Posted a thread last week about my fab going in for hatch struts to be replaced under warranty, and rear washer not working. Well, struts were replaced no probs, and I knew the rear wash pipe hadn't disconnected in the engine bay AND I had no leaks in or around the car. Tried sticking a pin down the jet all to no avail. Anyway, the service guy proceeded to take off the rear hatch trim to see if the pipe had come away and low and behold it hadn't, so he then peeled away the carpet trim above the rear wheel arch.....guess what....... NOT disconnected. So after all that he pulled the jet out of its housing and said "ah, this is whats blocked". He gave it a quick blow and now it works perfectly I COULD HAVE DONE IT IF I HAD KNOWN and he needn't have pulled off the hatch trim (breaking a clip in the process ) and he needn't have peeled away the carpet above the wheel arch Now, as far as I can tell, the hatch trim is back on ok, drove it home yesterday and no rattley noises due to missing clip so all seems ok BUT I can't help feeling that the EASIEST thing to check should have been done first AND no thread i have seen here suggests pulling the jet out to check if it's blocked first. So, if anyone has a blocked rear jet, before you do anything else, just pull the jet out and give it a good blow through, it could just be that.
