| PD100 remaps I've had my combi remapped this week, and its like greased weasel **** compared to my tuning box  I asked for a smooth remap which what I have, and its got a lot of extra poke - but after sampling the forbidden fruit I want more. The remapper states he will write a stronger map for me, but how far will a PD100 go? I have the PD160 intake fitted so what do I ask for? A vRS map? or will it go further? Experiences please ... |

| Re: PD100 remaps As far as I know, and would be gladdly proven wrong. The injectors are maxed out at just below 155bhp.

I believe that Jason, (Devonutopia) started off with a PD100 although I think he's currently using a PD130 based lump and look where he is now circa. 260bhp I believe .... it's a slippery slope you're going down. I remember you also have a Golf, you should get that remapped as well, I was very impressed with the gains achieved on the Golf (PD130) more so than on Swmbo's Furby although both vehicles saw significant power increases...have fun !

| Re: PD100 remaps Yea, the Golf's been done already - horrible flat spots from the factory so I took it to ChippedUK and Jayson put it up to a smoooth 180bhp which makes it a joy to drive. I'm certainly going to ask for 130bhp minimum, with the PD160 intake and being a combi it should be a right nice little bus when it's finished  |

| Re: PD100 remaps Took it back to ChippedUK yesterday and I now have approx 145hp It's incredibly smooth, yet pulls really strongly when required. I did a (very) rough average mpg run to work last night, 17 miles mixed motorway and A roads. I managed 52mpg pre-remap, 49mpg post-remap. I can live with that ... oh yea! |
