Re: PD160 Green Filter

VAG-parts should sell you the PD160, and you can get a Green filter pretty much anywhere.

Although for standard 130bhp tune, it's debatable whether either provide much benefit. The larger intake helps reduce smoking under heavy load, but won't increase power. Similarly, a panel filter isn't really any better than a fresh paper one IMO (and that of some others).

Just get a new paper filter from GSF or similar, and spend the £100 you'll save not buying the intake and panel filter on something nice that will benefit your car - I'm sure there are a few members who could help with suggestions!

Re: PD160 Green Filter

Mmm
I have the PD160 intake and Pipercross air filter
I found a world of better throttle response with my PD160 intake
Mine had been mapped by then though
If you can get a cheap enough PD160 go for it , £75ish new now though
£28 + VAT for the panel filter too off us , had my first one on for approx 60k miles too , I got 4MPG with that filter
Go for it , I am sure better throttle response will be there for you
Sarah

Re: PD160 Green Filter

PD160 for sale by "rougemont" in the forsale section. Very good seller. A few people have had them from him and all seem very happy.

I've just got the Pipercross filter Sarah is trying to flog you (i bought mine from her!!) So far so good. Fitting was spot on and while not really noticed any performance difference there is less smoke when you boot it and car seems to breath easier. (Awesome after sales banter always good too!)
