| phatnoise in a Fab VRS Quick question. Anyone know if you can fit a Phatnoise (Phatbox) system to a standard Fabia VRS head unit (symphony). Just that I know they cater for VW's and such so can it be ambushed?? |

| One for EddieH I think, he has one in his Octavia IIRC and was offering to try it in others.....

| As Jon says, I have one in my Octavia and have one ready for fitting in the Ibiza. If a furby owner can meet up with me (Pontefract) before I fit it then I'm happy to test it. Having seen the connectors I'm pretty sure it'll work but we won't know until someone tries it or can confirm that the Octavia boot changer will work with the furby HU. HTH

| Please can someone with a Furby who's nearer to Eddy than me get over and try it out - because I'd really like to know if the Phatbox can work with the standard Symphony HU ![]() Steve

| A chap at work is getting one on Mon for his Mk4 Golf, was gonna try that to see if it works. One problem being, I don't know if the symphony HU comes with the multi changer cable as standard (even if you haven't got a changer as option). Anyone know if it does?? and if so, where the end connector is?? |

| AFAIK the changer cable is not fitted as standard. The changer goes under the front passenger seat where the storage box is currently.

What would be the drill then? If it's found that there is a compatible cable for Phatbox to Symphony just run that down the centre console from under the passenger seat, or perhaps along the door side? Am I right in thinking the stowage box has to be removed then from the passenger side to fit something like a Phatbox or changer? As the driver's side doesn't have the box (well mine doesn't anyway) and hence more room under the seat, the Phatbox could be fitted there I suppose? I can't see a problem with that as I won't be needing to get to it very often with a 20GB cartridge to get through Fingers crossed there's a compatible cable in the first instance anyway ![]() Steve

| I'm using the Leon glovebox mounted changer cable in the Ibiza. However if you need a longer cable then the Bora or Golf cable would be more than long enough. I'll hopefully be sorting something out with Jack for testing.
