As per title really,

need to have a look at the wiring on the ciggy lighter one night and also reposition the console to the right a bit to stop the passenger seatbelt rattle

but how do i remove it

any help or guides much appreciated

Pull out insert in the fagash bit, and under you should see a couple of torx. That's the main ones which hold it down. If you need the whole tunnel you thats a bit of a pain. Pull the cupholder out the very end, and again, should be a couple of torx under there too. It clips into the "C"shaped bit around the dash from underneath. However, you should be able to remove the fagash bit OK, and just invert the gearknob gaitor, if you just want to rummage around for something.

nope it all needs to come off, but how, i tried ages ago but couldnt get the handbrake cover off or the gear knob,

the ciggy lighter needs rewiring and my hands are too big for small spaces to cant just lift up and rummage,

i have even shouted at the good lady for not being fatter in order to stop the rattle,

I did stick some double sided black foam tape on it.

Cured it for a while but it was an ugly solution.
