| Hi I got my fabia vrs on wednesday so it is brand new only done about 100 miles. So, I went for a drive today and it was great. I got back home and as I was driving into the drive there was this loud "pop" sort of sound, then steam began to rise from the driver's side from underneath the bonnet. After letting the engine cool down for about an hour, I opened the bonnet to see if I could see what was wrong. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it but there are splash marks of some substance over the engine cover particularly near the radiator. So I rung my dealer who thinks that it a hose had come loose and suggested I ring the AA, so I did. I'm waiting for them to arrive as I am typing this for them to check to see if I can drive it OK. Any of you guys know what might have caused this?? I might add that it was v. hot outside when I was driving it earlier. Many Thanks! |

| Couldn't be the heat. We have EXTREME heat here. The hose wasn't tied up properly. Nothing to worry about.

| Heat is not as extreme as where you live Mil, but compared to normal in the UK it's pretty warm at the moment ![]() A hose clip coming off can happen, and does happen when the heat is on a little though as the pressures will be higher. Middle-East spec is quite different as the engines are tuned differently too ![]()
