Hey up all,

My Symphony HU seems to have just gone faulty...... I ejected a CD just now and out it popped. Then put a new CD in and it played.... Came to eject it to put it back in the box and swap back to the original CD and it won't eject!!!

It says 'EJECT' on the display like normal but nothing happens and it switches to the radio as though it's ejected the disc. It still plays the CD ok but won't give it me back!!!


Anybody had this before or know if there's a work round or is it gonna have to go back to the dealers????


Annoying thing is that it's a new CD that i've just had imported from the US and cost me best part of £20!!!!! And now it's stuck in the bloody HU!!!!!

Ive had cds stuck in the player,the dealer can get them out easily
The dealer has told me not to use any copy cds that have paper stickers on them

It seems to be fairly common complain that cds go in but decide not to come back out

try skipping to the end of the cd and playing the last track it might then eject. Don't know why, possibly that waiting while the last track plays is long enough for the eject mechanism to reset itself!

Well i managed to get the CD out and the HU is working OK again now!!!!! I gave the dash a couple of good 'thumps' on either side of the HU and it ejected the CD ok.


I'll keep an eye on it and if it plays up again i'll have a word with the dealer.
