Re: suspension, shocks, bushes ???????

first thing to check is the anti roll bar drop links.... these can make a terrible noise when the joints get worn or loose

Unhappy more suspension...

My suspension might be bust too....

Damaged Arb brushes sure gives of a loud bang when going over speedbumps and on other rough surfaces. But as I myself have had the arb replaced replaced a year ago, I dont think that is my problem.

Could it be down to other brushes in the suspension setup, or is it more likely a damper/spring problem?

Its also not only the front messing up, but the rear as well...

Re: suspension, shocks, bushes ???????

Are the drop links different to the bushes?

If so is there a how to guide? And where you can order these drop links and how much they are?

Cheers

Re: suspension, shocks, bushes ???????

the drop link is a straight metal bar with a ball joint at each end

dont try to undo the nuts with the weight of the car still on the suspension... you will need an allen key(5mm i think??) and a spanner (16mm)

hth

Re: suspension, shocks, bushes ???????

Yeah - That makes sense - What would cause the drop links to need to be replaced and how are the inspected? If it is just a metal rod then where along the rod will they fail?

Am I missing something crucial here ?

Also how much would you expect a pair to be ? And finally how long would you expect them to take to install.

Cheers guys!

Re: suspension, shocks, bushes ???????

The drop-links are a common problem, definately warranty... or even goodwill if the car is out of warranty.. other than that its a simple cheap job to do

Re: suspension, shocks, bushes ???????

They have been modified.

As mentioned above they arent just a metal rod, its the ball joints at either end that give the grief.

Any ideas where to pick them up from - Would I need to buy a new rod or is it just the ball joints.
