Default Thinking of buying a vrs

Hi guys I'm a new registered user to this site but been browsing it for a while now.

I was thinking of ordering a Fabia VRS in June (for it to be delivered in Sept for the new reg) in black with xenons, cruiser and leather. However just been checking out my local dealer's stock and they have this in:

http://www.skoda.net.r66.co.uk/carvi...archType=LOCAL

It's listed as £12300 but the list price new is £13800. How much do you guys reckon it is really worth as I'm hoping to knock their asking price down by a lot. It's a Dec 05 model with 7k on the clock, but it has a lot of extras: xenons, cruise, heated seats, metallic and ESP.

And does anyone know if the heated seats can be used if I got the leather option fitted afterwards?

I've test driven the VRS twice and I love the power delivery. Am hoping to get a Superchip remap and sticking my ice in but keeping the rest fairly standard.

Here's my current 'boy racer' car lol...it looked a lot worse with tints and elxus rear clusters

Thing is you can get that same spec brand spnking shiny & new for 12,300-12,400 if bought online and a dealer may well match it or come within a couple of hundred quid...... Might be worth having a look into a new one.

Cheers

Dave.

A new car online works out a few hundred more for the same spec but I'm hoping the stealers will knock some off that list price of £12300. If they budge to under 12k then I'd be happy

Try - http://www.drivethedeal.com/options....dr&capid=26138
The service I received was excellent. Maybe the only small drawback would be the wait for a bespoke car. I waited 8 weeks.

I'd pay the extra couple of hundred and go new, you know how some demo cars get driven, don't you? i.e. like rental cars!

There is a chance it wasn't run-in properly as potential customers will have had it foot to the floor, 'trying it out'.

Not saying this is the case, but you never can be sure.

At least from brand new you'll know how its been driven, and by whom!

If the saving was 1000-1500 or more then yes maybe used makes sense.

Have you looked in Autotrader for local vRS's also? Private sales will be a better bargain and most cars out there are still in their warranty period.

Use HPI if you decide to go private though

If it's an ex demo you WILL get problems later on in life with it. People like me drive them.

If it helps, I've ordered a vrs with

Cruise, ESP, Heated seats, and metallic paint

12500 from a dealership (Should have been 13600) (DtD was 12350)

Go new, at least you know the cars history, you get 3 years warranty and AA cover, and you never know your 06 furby may not even have a stutter

www.drivethedeal.com have this same spec car for 12,258.50......(Black pearl paint, ESP, xenons & cruise) I was willing to pay a little extra to buy from a local dealer...... In the end i payed about 250 quid more but i got to have the car in less than half the time as it was a cancelled order.

Cheers

Dave.

Well I went to the dealer and they said £10k + my Clio (worth £1.5k trade).

He said he'd give me 1.4k for the Clio and discount the price by 900 which I thought was a good deal. But dad is saying it might be best just buying a new one in June and waiting those 12-13 weeks for it as the Clio is ok for now. At least that way i could opt for the leather too instead of fitting it to a used car.

The last courtesy car I had showed only FIVE miles on the clock - so I drove it gently...
