Vrs - Want to plug in Jukebox - How?

I have the standard radio/cd fitted in my Fabia. I have a Creative Jukebox 3 (20 gig) that I want to plug it into the spare auxillary point at the back of the radio, which I understand it must have because you can plug a CD changer in.

I asked the Skoda Dealer where I bought the car (this useless idiot who couldn't give a **** because he has sold the car and now he doesn't care anymore), and he told me that Skoda's auxillary point is not standard, and that I should chat to a radio specialist. - Gee Great!!!

Bluespot offer the following Blaupunkt auxiliary input, but I think this only fits on a Blaupunkt DAB radio.

Is there such a cable for the Symphony in my car? and
if so, where can I get it from? and
How easy is it to remove the radio, fit the cable, put the radio back in place.

The aux inputs to the headunit are muted until the headunit see's a CD changer connected. You can buy an interface box which fools the headunit into thinking a CD changer is connected or for a cheaper DIY solution try this link (it works on my Symphony radio)

hi mate... would this do the job for me then? I already have an FM transmitter but i've had enough of it: ( see: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/t2853...p3-player.html ) - what do you think of the solution you've got? worth the cash? perfect sound?

PS. where did you find out your Symphony was made by Technisat? is it written on the top or something if I take it out?

I know you said the you are fed-up with the FM transmitter...but I have recently seen this review for a digital transmitter which (apparently) is easy to use and doesn't drift off.

I have an FM modualtor in my astra (soon to be Fabia vRs) and the wife has like wise in hers The are wired in and provide very good sound an awful lot better than the old plug in or battery modulators. When you turn it on it blocks radio signal on one of the 2 freqs you can choose.

And you have this device on your Fabia Vrs???? Did you buy it from that site you quoted below? Why I ask, on the site it actually says "New orders are no longer being accepted for this product as of July 11th, 2004."... so if this is the case, where did you buy this device from?

The H/U should pop out fairly easily with the correct keys, a cut up credit card or the ends of those zip tie things. Between this http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/auxin2.asp and this http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/auxin.asp you should be able connect an MP3 player. I used the second one for the back of my Blaupunkt, I can't see the back of a Symphony being that different.

just took out my headunit on saturday there mate. used blunt hacksaw blade cut in half obv so i had 2 bits. read it in some other post. worked fine. just need to 'tempt' it out

Do you have a symphony headunit? Does it have the auxillarys mentioned in the previous mail, and do you think the Blaupunkt auxillary connectors http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/auxin2.asp could connect to them?

How many cables are at the back of the headunit?

dunno to be honest... it says 'These leads are only suitable for radios equipped to accept two auxiliary inputs. Single aux-input radios should use aux-input lead (1st).'

on the back of the headunit, theres a circular connection port, similar to those on tvs, for the radio. irrelevant

theres 3 outputs, but 2 are used by the stereo when just connected. the third output is slightly bigger tho. dunno
