How easy is it to convert the vRS front bumper into a widemouth setup? It looks as if the number plate "holder" and lower grille can just be removed and then just fit an apporpriate grille/mesh in it's place?

There is a bit of plastic across the back of the holder, but this can be cut-out...

Yep - its a stanley knife job, then needs cleaning up after to make it neat. Obviously the numberplate needs converting to a square plate and moving.

Re: vRS Widemouth Mod

have been thinking bout this mod, prefer to call it "the gob mod" as its not really wide is it?
is ita case of removing the front bumper or can you do it on the car?
also is there a visible cut edge that needs painting or can it be hidden by the mesh?

Some pics that might be useful of mine? Once you've cut it out you;re left with the inside of the bumper, i.e where you've just cut. I put my 5hitspeed mesh, cut to size, on the inside of this area, stuck on with p.u adhesive. Then a bodyshop tidied it all up and did the trim "frame" for me, and sprayed to match.
