| Briskodian | What clutch? Hey Im going to be getting a Fabia vRS, and I will be taking it to be re-mapped. Ive done a search, and couldnt find info on what clutches people use, after the remap. So, with around 300lb/ft, what are people using? I dont want to be feather driving, with a standard clutch. Id rather do it properly Thanks |

| Re: What clutch? Try doing an advanced search, for 'uprated clutch' in the Fabia section ![]() That should return a fair amount of info - such members as Basil, Jon TDi and devonutopia all run uprated items, plus quite a few other people. Steve

| Re: What clutch? I'm using a Sachs paddle clutch and it's great. Takes a little bit of getting used to, but nothing too difficult, and is probably the cheapest of all the options.

| Re: What clutch? guess the importan thing is you defining what torque limit you want and driveability. It's not bhp but more torque that is rough on clutches. If you are taking things further later on, better to plan ahead and get more capability than you need now. To maintain good driveability you need a clutch that allows you to "slip it" in first (like in traffic, etc), so the Organic type is a good choice. Kevlar wears fast and is not as streetable, tho' Jason seems happy with his. Also requires re-facing of the DMF at time of fitting which can be pricey. Most people agree Sintered type is really for racing only. I changed my DMF for a SMF as I wanted something that was close to un-wreckable, and got better acceleration (seat of pants) and faster revving thrown in, at the cost of a little bit of chatter at idle with clutch out. No DMF to fail in future.... HTH Bas
