What the devil is this....

Had the new Vrs for about a week now, and lovining it to bits. So I decided to give it a clean, inside and out.

Whilst cleaning the inside I reached under the passenger seat and.....well couldn't.
Looked underneath the front part and there is a box with a sliding panel. What the devil.. I thought.
I slid the panel to one side and found a 6 disc multichanger under the seat.

I tried it and it works fine. Are they standard fitting now on Vrs's?

I didn't tick the options list for it, neither have I been charged for it.

Should I be an and own up to the dealer that it shouldn't be there?

Re: What the devil is this....

I'd call it a lucky find on your part and a mistake on the dealers!!

I think the sticker inside the service book or under the carpet in the boot should list all options I'm sure I've seen a list somewhere, but I can't remember which is for the changer.

Re: What the devil is this....

Quality!

And the moral of this story - keep your Fabia clean. If you don't, you'll never find all this hidden treasure

Does this mean there's another owner with a ticked CD changer option box, but no changer?!

Re: What the devil is this....

Thanks, guys - it was a lucky find!
I eventually mentioned it to the salesman at Freeborn, who ran away to look at some paperwork. When he returned, he said that the only Black Vrs with Cruise Control available for the delivery time I had specified, had a multi changer fitted. They had decided to leave it in there as I was a repeat customer having previously brought a brand new Citroen C3 from them 3 years ago, and they gave it to me as a little present, but don't mention it to the guy who actually sold me the car

.........Hmmm! I'm not sure i believe this, do you?

Re: What the devil is this....

Sound about right, they would sooner write off the cost of a changer than lose a sale. Sounds like it had allready been built for an order anyhow so they didnt pay for it anyway.
