| Re: What next??? If you look at it Top Gear style (one giant race) then the vrs has the edge because you won't have to stop to refuel every 300 miles like the clio 197 |

| Re: What next??? LOL. And you were doing so well too, just to go spoil it with the next comment. The vRS is heavy for its size and feels faster than it is. Standing starts are also not its strong point due to being a weasel. My trick to beating other cars is do it on hills. Most N/A petrols ah feeble as hell up an incline, whereas the vRS just bullets up them. It's the fastest 'real world' car I've owned but not the fastest to 60 by any means. My MKI MR2 wedge of cheese and my MKII CRX were both much quicker to 60, but you needed to thrash them so much to make them go.....but they flew when you did. The vRS takes hills easier, requires less gear changing to maintain/ pick up speed and makes FAR less noise. But driving it 'balls out' results in less speed and it runs out of puff at higher speeds whereas the Jap cars didn't, especially the Honda. ![]()

| Briskodian | Re: What next??? my chipped vrs will beat the st 170 focus's all day long but i think a standard one would struggle. my mate jig had one and he wasnt impressed with it. ie he got beat by a skoda weisel ![]() Back to the real world, the fabia vrs is not a very quick car, there are so many cars out there that will eat it for breakfast. It does however have one trick up its sleave...... the element of suprise. People dont expect to be beaten by a fabia hatchback, and its even more funny watching faster cars try and leave you for smoke when in reality they only get a few car lengths ahead. At the end of the day the vrs does what it says on the tin, its practical and exciting. ![]()
