| just fitted a digital dragon tuning box to my fabia vrs. must say it was very easy to fit, took me approx 30 minutes with placing the box and wires in a safe posistion etc nice and tidy. would like to ask all those out there with dragon boxes what setting do you have yours at? test drove it on the standard setting (11) abit more power more noticible mid range and a slight increase in smoke on heavy acceleration, so i increased the setting to 13. much better pull all gears very noticible tourqe increase and lots more smoke under heavy acceleration especially in the higher gears 5th and 6th. not sure if ill increase it any further? just thought i'd gage what you guys and girls are running yours at. |

| 16 is a bit silly and frantic but some people like it .....put mine back on 11 and it worked just fine ...dont forget the car will get quicker when it gets used to what is happening....over 3 or 4 weeks

| I am pretty certain the black box "learns" as it goes along so when the car all of sudden starts giving it new or different info it uses it and gradually adjusts to it normally over a period of 3 to 4 weeks. Apparently if you disonnect the battery it will start the learning process from scratch.

| The ECU has a map stored in it, which is a list of parameters and maximum values. There is then a bit of memory which overlays these values with some fine adjustments which are calculated by the ECU "learning". Disconnecting the battery removes these fine adjustments and next time you drive the car it has to learn from scratch. If the car is anything like my Ford, then disconnecting the battery for an hour will clear these fine adjustment settings and over the next 5 miles of driving the ECU will recreate them. Haynes recommends after an ECU reset, allowing the car to idle until it reaches operating temperature, then holding the revs at 1200rpm for 2 mins before going for a 5 mile drive, taking in a variety of driving conditions..... | just cleaned my green filter and wow. apart from the obvious better reving of the engine, the dragons performance is stagering, and has severley reduced the smoking. got to recomend you check your filters and give em a clean. mine had done around 7000 miles and a whole load of crap came out of it. |

| I cleaned mine at the weekend (loadsa crap in it!), also had my EGR adjusted by my dealer but still smokes a lot. Might get it adjusted again as I wonder if being adjusted before the filter was clean has made a difference.
