| what should i do Last year february my furby get into an accident and dropped sideways into a conctete drain at the side of the road. I got it fixed however the work done on the exhaust was sub-standard i did not go to my dealer to do the repairs wrong choice. recently i found that my car was sounding very old and i was burning alot of gas. The exhaust pipes and barrel was in a mess so i was told that i should change the pipes and barrel, and put in 2" pipes instead of the normal ones and a free flow which is legal where i'm from. I'm wondering how this will affect the performance of the car. |

| BRISKODA Staff | How far do you need to change...down pipe from exhaust manifold all the way back or just the rear silencer? Cat back/rear silencer won't really give you anything in terms of performance but a full downpipe to rear silencer system would give you some gain. Which engine do you have?

| BRISKODA Staff | I haven't noticed him posting this week so perhaps he's on holiday/vacation. Top righ of the page you can see a Private Message option. You need to use the "Send new message" option. In the "to" line enter ...Fab16v. Then ask away. HTH.

..... and your car is tuned to suit. I think there is only one supplier...Petrotrin.Maybe get yourself some octane booster...you can probably order from the States. With change of exhaust and being a normal aspirated engine your not going to "feel" a great difference in performance. Sound....yes...due to the bigger diameter pipe.

You can tune the engine you have but it'll cost a lot due to the labour involved. Where abouts are you in TT?
