What's the "On" lever for on the right hand side

I've had my VRS for a month now and just found a pull/push lever marked "on" by my right knee, near the small storage box (with the very handy pen holder). What is it for?

It opens the air vent for inside the storage box. Similar to the one in the glovebox.

The small storage box is the can "chiller" and the on lever switches the vent into it "on" or "off".

It engages the warp drive and cloaking device (tm).
I'd avoid cloaking my knee and sending it to warp speed, though........
