Re: Wheels

The wheel archive might throw up some good ideas.

Fabia alloys archive - BRISKODA - The Skoda Forum and Community

Personally, I like Octy Spiders, OZ Superleggeras, and Lenso Samurais. I'll see If I can find some pics.

Budget?

Re: Wheels

i love the octy spiders but dont have a clue were i would find a set. Dont really have a budget ill just save up for whatever is right. Think im going to stick to 16" possibly 17" if there right. Not sure if i want to go for the dub look or not. but i might add on a cupra front splitter and then go for that big mouth look with the octy spider alloys.....??????

Re: Wheels

Well, I think that possibly doing an anthracite job on your current wheels could be a cheap way to freshen things up. I've seen a few Spiders in the For Sale section here, but you could always try Fleabay. Best of luck though, and do post pics when/if you make the change.

These are nice too though:

but these are sheer class IMO:

Re: Wheels

Octy 17's are lush and there are no problems running them, best tire choice also is 215/40/17

Re: Wheels

Ohhhh wow.
That Fabia on Superleggeras looks the absolute nuts, although the front bumper makes it look like it's got a huuuge nose!

And are they TT wheels in the top picture, on the black VRS?

Re: Wheels

Is your suspension lowered too? I've got a set of 17" Octy Spiders in being refurbed at the moment and they will be wrapped with Goodyear 215x40x17 rubber and I'm sure I read somewhere that they will look awful unless I drop the springs too.

Any truth in that?

Its lowered 25mm on Eibachs, i had mine on OEM suspension - doesnt look massively high but the Eibachs are a massive improvement. I should have went lower

Heres a side on with Eibachs

Just looked for OEM suspension pics but i deleted them

Re: Wheels

Are the Audi TT wheels a direct fit? Also what tyres you need on them? different to standard TT tyres? I love those TT wheels above.

Anyone selling some?

Has been covered quite a lot before, but yes they're a direct fit. They require 205/40/17 or 215/40/17 spec tyres to be fitted. Std tyre for this rim is a 225/45/17, but this is the wrong rolling radius for a Fabia, and will cause rubbing as well.

This is moving a fair bit from the original question though, as none of the cars pictured have been running 16s! The red Fabia was even running 18" OZs There's quite a few 5x100 16" wheels you could look at from the VAG stable. For my winter wheels this time round, I used a BBS Montreal-II for example, used on the Golf MkIV, again fitted with suitable tyres; 205/45/16 just like your std vRS wheels. These will be up for sale shortly as my summer wheels go on. More details in my Member's Car thread, but here's a quick photo:

Re: Wheels

215/40/17 is my preffered choice over the 205's look better (not as stretched) and protect the rim a bit more

No running issues....

Re: Wheels

I am looking at getting some of these. They are genuine Audi TT Competition wheels. 7.5" Wide ET32 and 17" Dia. Tyres 205/40-17 Yokohama Parada nearly new tyres.
One question is about nuts, do the factory nuts work or will I need new ones?

Re: Wheels

You can use your existing wheel bolts, no problem.
